Description
Wells Gray Provincial Park is located in east-central British Columbia and covers a large area of mountains, forests, rivers, lakes, and volcanic plateaus shaped by glaciers and ancient eruptions. The park is crossed by the Clearwater and Murtle River systems, which help create its many famous waterfalls and deep valleys. Established in 1939, it was named after Arthur Wellesley Gray, a government official who supported park conservation.
