Wells Gray Provincial Park is located in east-central British Columbia and covers a large area of mountains, forests, rivers, lakes, and volcanic plateaus shaped by glaciers and ancient eruptions. The park is crossed by the Clearwater and Murtle River systems, which help create its many famous waterfalls and deep valleys. Established in 1939, it was named after Arthur Wellesley Gray, a government official who supported park conservation. Over time, the park expanded to protect more wilderness, wildlife habitat, and important natural landscapes, making it one of British Columbia’s largest provincial parks.

Wells Gray Provincial Park is a vast wilderness park known for its dramatic waterfalls, clear lakes, volcanic landscapes, and abundant wildlife. One of its most famous sights is Helmcken Falls, one of Canada’s highest waterfalls.

You will have amazing views of 3 magnificent waterfalls. Trails are short and easy to navigate. This waterfall trip is laid back with an easy pace. There will be plenty of time to take photos from different viewpoints.

Spahats Falls – Spahats is a First Nations word that means bear. Bear Creek drops over 60 Metres (200 Feet) in an awe-inspiring waterfall.  Participants can find numerous viewpoints to see and photograph the impressive waterfall.

Dawson Falls – This beautiful waterfall cascades over an ancient lava bed 90 meters (295 feet) across.

Helmcken Falls –  This impressive feature is the fourth highest waterfall in Canada.
