Halloween Adventure at Riverside Park
This October, witches and warlocks are taking over the South Thompson River!
Join Okanagan Affordable Rentals every Saturday and Sunday throughout October for a Halloween adventure combining a river paddle, Halloween treats and roller skating at Riverside Park.
The Experience
MEET AT RIVERSIDE PARK
Your adventure begins at Okanagan Affordable Rentals at Riverside Park.
Participants check in, complete the required waiver and are fitted with a lifejacket.
Come dressed as a witch, warlock, wizard or another Halloween character!
Costumes are encouraged but must be safe for use on the water.
THE WITCHES’ WALK
Once everyone is ready, the group walks together along the pathway from Riverside Park to Pioneer Park.
While the group walks, Okanagan Affordable Rentals transports all paddleboards, kayaks, paddles and required equipment to Pioneer Park.
Staff and equipment will meet the group there.
At Pioneer Park, participants receive their final instructions and safety briefing.
Everyone launches and travels together down the South Thompson River, finishing back at Riverside Park.
Each group will be accompanied on the river by kayak safety guides.
approximately 30–45 minutes on the river, everyone arrives back at Riverside Park.
Participants return their paddling equipment and have approximately 20 minutes to warm up, enjoy their included refreshments and get ready for roller skating.

After your river adventure, trade your paddle for a pair of roller skates!
Your package includes:
Roller skate rental
Helmet
Up to 2 hours of roller skating on the Riverside Park skate path.Before you complete your booking, you must read and complete the waiver for your activity and watch the Kamloops Fire Rescue safety video. You cannot participate without it.
Maximum capacity is 16 participants per session.
